From the onset of his career, Martin rapidly gained recognition for his proficiency at structuring complex land deals, and served as an integral part of the Miami-Doral Country Club area expansion, into what is now a thriving city with office and industrial parks, and residential communities.

In 1975, he ventured north into Martin County and the Treasure Coast’s premier waterfront communities. For many years he encountered strong political adversity, which halted all property development, and left him with his biggest career challenge to date.
